Spiral scratches on bullets?

I would just leave well enough alone and go shoot. I personally wouldn't start doing anything in the chamber unless I'm having real legit malfunctions, in which case I'd be calling the manufacturer.

Here are pics from the round that chambered after I shot a coyote the other day. This round has only been chambered one time and was ejected gently by hand before driving home. As you can see the bullet got scratched and even the shoulder of the case gets dinged up. This will go back in my gun and still shoot moa.

I don't think it's a leftover artifact from nitride since my barrel is stainless steel (BA Hanson) and showing the exact same thing you have.

I do think that the process of a semi auto loading is inherently vicious and things get banged around a little bit.

You might want to check that COAL on that second pic. That bullet looks like it got set forward...a lot. Might just be the pic.
