The hole in this theory is that the premise doesn't address the discrepancy between 6.5 and 6.8 availability. Both are primarily AR15 cartridges.

Agreed plus 223/556 was a ar15/m16 developed round at first as well.

Bolt actions came later just like the grendel.

I think it's more of lack of knowledge and lack of marketing and many factors and just plan old ignorance.

My area it took me 2 years too get a few guys to shoot and test for themself the grendel and almost that long to get a shop to stock ammo for it.

Now there are several guys that shoot grendel here but sadly the only two shops that stocked ammo for it are closing their doors first of the year.

The only other place won't stock ammo or rifles in it because the owner shoots 6.8 and thinks grendel is a joke, his words.

He hates the grendel so much he won't even let grendel anything be custom ordered through his shop.
