One day, Dave was out filling his car at the corner station. Just as he finished paying, he noticed a hearse slowly going down the street, followed by another hearse. followed by a man walking solemnly, leading a dog. Behind the man and the dog were about 200 men, all walking in a long single file.
Intrigued, Dave went up to the man following the second hearse and said "I've never quite seen such a funeral procession. Whose funeral is this?"
The man replied, "My wife is in the first hearse."
"I'm sorry for your loss," said Dave. "What happened to her?"
"She got mad and started a fight with me. My dog attacked and killed her."
Dave was taken aback. "That's terrible! But who is in the second hearse?"
"My mother-in-law. She tried to help my wife and my dog attacked and killed her, too."
Dave walked silently alongside the man for a few moments, and then asked,"Can I borrow your dog?"
The man replied, "Get in line."

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?
