Barrel length question

Because the handguard threads over the receiver threads for the barrel nut. The JP has its own piece that threads onto the upper receiver threads, then the barrel nut goes in under that, then the handguard attaches to the extension piece with 6 screws.

I would also recommend using a rifle length handguard for 16"-20" barrels, and a low-pro gas block. Like this:

Thanks for responding. I guess what im looking for is a handguard that will just cover the gas block so it transitions from the hangaurd to the gas block and to the barrel smoothly. Mabye to much to ask for. Just being picky i guess.
