I don't know a whole lot about that one, but I could see where some cans could have issues with erosion of their blast baffles, and I have even heard of barrel crowns being damaged when the blast baffle is too close to the crown. The AAC cans I own have inconel blast baffles, and the spacing from baffle to crown is controlled by the mount, so I don't worry about it. I've put quite a few rounds down range through both of them, and they both look fine. The only thing I've ever been able to do is cook the finish off of the M4-2000 can. In my experience you usually have to make them glow to do that...
Hehe... (It's fun though!) Anywhoo, my 762SD has the "SCARmor" finish, so it has remained pristine (except for all the stuff that has melted onto it or been abraded against it). I wish my truck was "SCARmor"ed!!! I haven't managed to hurt that stuff at all yet.
