It's a tradeoff, The 762SD is about the same soundwise compared to my M4-2000 when used on a 5.56 barrel, but you do get the extra use on multi calibers. You pick up weight, but you also get volume to reduce back pressure. I love the 762SD, it's an awesome can in my opinion. They are built pretty darn stout!
