You don't get a lot of heat in the extension anyway. I just use Blue Loc-tite. You could also use MarineTex if you wanted to.
Apply releasing agent to the inside of the tunnel.
+1 on blue loc-tite. It works, it's all you need, and they will come apart if need be. It's good enough for Mike Milli at D-tech and it's worked great for me.
