I'm sure you have your problem fixed by now but, if you don't:
1. Make sure safety is on and hand cycle 5 rounds or so through the rifle. If any round gets stuck in the chamber you most likely have a chamber problem. Try another bullet manufacturer as well. If the rounds do not eject well you may have a extractor problem. Try another magazine MFG as well.
2. If above is OK next is most likely lack of pressure. First test is to load just one round, fire (at range) and see if bolt holds open on last round. If not most likely the gas port is not on correctly (yes it could be other things but not enough gas pressure is more likely). Use HBindustry (gas block aligner tool) to line it up. Before using the tool & after you take the gas block off measure the whole in the barrel & compare to specs.
3. After that you may need to chase buffers etc but, don't until you've done the above.
BTW I'm presuming you will have put everything back to the standard configuration before you do the above.
