I just built my first 6.5 grendel. Fun cartridge indeed!

I was using wolf STEEL cased ammo
I consistantly get stuck cases, stove pipes, light primer strikes. I tried suppressed, unsuppressed, adjusting the gas block, changing lowers and non of the above helped. Any ideas?

Just wondering why did you remove the buffer weights?
Have you tried brass ammo to see how it function?

I suspect having straighter case walls contribute to sticking. My Grendels tend to stick much easier than my 5.56 rifles, and I only use brass cases. Maybe try making sure the chamber is very clean when you start shooting.

If your Grendel cases are sticking at all, I would submit that you have something wrong with your setup (gas, buffer weight, etc). Not one of my AR rifles has issues with sticking cases.
I would:
Ensure you have adequate gas (stove pipes). With an intermediate gas system on the 16", there is a chance you could be under gassed.
Check head space (light strikes, stuck cases).
Check extractor for correct engagement on the case lip. (stove pipes, improper extraction). Make certain the edges are not too sharp and hanging up the case.

I would put the weights back in the buffer and retry.

Could be getting bolt bounce with out the weights in the buffer contributing to the light primer strike.

In addition to putting the weights back on your buffer ...
my mind went where NF went regarding undergas; you may not have your adjustable block on the right setting for intermediate length.

That is the first thing I thought of. Both side to side and front and back. Some barrel makers have the gas port positioned so the block is against the ledge on the barrel and others have it set so you have room for a handguard cap.

Do the Odin barrel come dimpled for their gas block?
Why I use a boroscope to line up my gas block.

my odin barrel was not dimpled and mounted flush agains shoulder they had a witness mark on the gb and barrel

I'm sure you have your problem fixed by now but, if you don't:
1. Make sure safety is on and hand cycle 5 rounds or so through the rifle. If any round gets stuck in the chamber you most likely have a chamber problem. Try another bullet manufacturer as well. If the rounds do not eject well you may have a extractor problem. Try another magazine MFG as well.
2. If above is OK next is most likely lack of pressure. First test is to load just one round, fire (at range) and see if bolt holds open on last round. If not most likely the gas port is not on correctly (yes it could be other things but not enough gas pressure is more likely). Use HBindustry (gas block aligner tool) to line it up. Before using the tool & after you take the gas block off measure the whole in the barrel & compare to specs.
3. After that you may need to chase buffers etc but, don't until you've done the above.
BTW I'm presuming you will have put everything back to the standard configuration before you do the above.
