The CZ 527 does surprisingly well single feeding through the mag or otherwise. There are a few slight modifications that can be made to the extractor that I highly recommend that make the CZ a little more accurate and a little more reliable as a single round feeder. CZ offers a single shot follower that works very well for the 17 fireball and 22 hornet. They also offer a single shot follower for the 7.62 x 39 that I venture a educated guess may work very well.
