I posted that I am new here and new to 6.5 grendel. I have read allot of the posts in this forum about suppresors etc. Let me start by telling you the purpose of this build. Im married. My wife complains that my bolt actions kick to hard, are to heavy, and to loud. So I decided to build my first AR for her. Of course im building it to where I will enjoy it. With that said, AR being semi auto will not kick as hard as my bolt actions, suppressors will make it quieter, and SBR will make it lighter. These are all the things I am telling her and using as an excuse to make the purchases.
Now why did I pick 6.5 grendel? Cause in my opinion which this may upset some of you, a 556 is not a round I would personally hunt deer with and some of the larger rounds will kick harder. This weapon is primarly going to be used for hunting.
So like I said before, I have read allot of the posts about suppressors and it seems everyone likes the Thunderbeast. So I went on their website and did some reading and then called them to ask about the minimum barrel length requirements. Unfortunately according to them their cans cannot go on a 10.5 inch barrel which is what ive been leaning towards. Your thoughts on barrel lengths are appreciated here. So which cans would you guys now recomend for a 10.5" barrel? Understand that budget is not unlimited. Ive heard of steel cans that weight a little more for as little as $250 all the way up to big $$.

Edit: adding question. Would a can made specifically for 6.5g suppress more then a 308 can on a 6.5g?
