There are no markings on the barrel dictating twist or material. I do know it to be a barrel from a Hunter upper from communicating with AA. It is stamped on the left side as Alex A-6.5 Gren and the rest of the specifications match including rifle length gas system, picatinny gas block with 2 pins. I do not have the handguard cap any longer as I sold those parts when installing the JP/VTAC. According to the specifications of the hunter upper on alexander arms it is a hunter upper without a threaded muzzle. I'm not sure why AA didn't thread this upper, but everything I have here tells me it would be stainless barrel finished in black.
The reason I'm keeping the upper receiver is because I'm refinishing it in cerakote sniper grey for a minor contrast to the forearm and simply due to the self lubricating properties of cerakote. I will be putting a 16" barrel and bolt combo into this gun if/when this sells. Thanks for looking and God bless.
One thing to note---the sling swivel was removed from the gas block and the block refinished. I forgot about it and after looking at the picture of the Hunter upper I should note that this does not have a sling swivel on the gas block.
