Some probably are but don't know it. When the Grendel first came out, Alexander contracted with ER Shaw for barrels. You had a choice of a Shaw or Shilen if you bought from Alexander. Lothar Walther also made Grendel chambered barrels but due to a falling out between Alexander and Woodall at LW, the LW barrels were sold by Lothar Walther or through Competitive Shooting Supplies (not sure if that is the exact name or if they are still around).
I do recall that the barrels were marked 'ER Shaw' or perhaps just 'Shaw' but they were stamped into the barrel. I can't remember where.
I believe Shaw caters to hunters and not precision shooters but his barrels performed OK. Nothing stellar, nothing particularly poor.
We did not have many choices then. Shaw, Shilen (if you could get one within a decade or two), Satern (sometimes you never got the barrel you ordered), and LW. Of all of them during that era, to me the most dependable in terms of above average quality was the LW barrels. They were far better than Shaws, not as good as Shilen or Satern but at least if you ordered a LW barrel, you got the barrel and they shot pretty well.
Today you have a choice. I would not get a Shaw. I think that maybe the BHW polygonal rifled barrels may be a much better choice than a Shaw.
