I have built multiple ARs recently in 5.56, 6.8 SPC, and 6.5 Grendel - I just took a 6.5 Grendel hunting in Wyoming (I am from GA so big deal for me!). I took a 20 inch SABRE 6.5 G rifle upper with a Primary Arms 4x14 scope and an ACE stock. Lesson learned for me is 6.5G was very effective on Antelope but I need to pull some weight off that specific rifle for long hunting treks. I will keep the upper as-is but switch to a much lighter scope, use an AERO scope mount, and switch to the lighter weight version of the ACE rifle length stock. After using adjustable gas on several builds - I am using fixed gas unless the rifle proves it needs adjustable gas.
