Love my Sparc, but consider it a close range optic (100 yards). Mine is the simple red dot reticle. As the elevation is capped and there are no reticle hold over points it is not something that can quickly be changed.
As a red dot, it doesn't offer the fine aiming point that allows a rifle to show its true accuracy at longer distances. It shines in its ability too get on target quickly not print sub MOA groups at 200 yards.
The brightness control range has worked for me from dim morning light to mid day sun.
