Regarding the cheek pad on a CZ 527. One of the flaws in a CZ 527 is that the scope must be mounted very high because of the shape of the factory bolt handle. I first put a cheek pad on mine and that helped a lot with cheek weld, but the little rifle was still unbalanced. I found an aftermarket bolt handle on the net (I forget who but they are still in business) that allowed me to lower the scope, improving my cheek weld and rifle balance.
