I never shoot factory ammunition in any of my rifles. No factory round has ever been chambered in any of my rifles except for .22LR. When I build a new bolt gun I usually start by deciding on a bullet, then a case, and finally a reamer that lets me use no-turn necks and seat the bullet ahead of the shoulder junction so I don't have to fret about donuts. I like the chamber to be about .003 larger than the neck of a loaded round. I don't care if some factory round would end up jammed into the lands because I always measure my throat and either jump or jam depending on the bullet I am using. My grendel chamber is a SAAMI chamber and I have no complaints with it. The chamber is .010 larger than my loaded case necks and it works the brass more than other cartridges but I anneal after every other firing so that doesn't matter to me. If you plan to shoot factory ammunition then the SAAMI chamber is a good choice because it was designed to safely handle a variety of ammunition. If you are a hand loader then the choice is less critical as long as you load your rounds to fit your chamber.
