the plan is shoot 50 , magnaflux the bolt shoot 50 magnaflux the bolt etc etc
the magna fluxing will show me if the bolt is starting to fail at any point if it doesnt fail while shooting lol the plan is run it till it fails or call it a ok at 1000rds

I'm, somewhat, taking your advise but still want/need 2 of your bolts No Matter when they show up.

I'll wait for mine as well. I do have a spare bolt on hand, an Aero Precision, into which I swapped an improved extractor from BRA. So I can afford to be patient.

Also, I don't think I'll be doing any shooting for the next few months anyway. I only do that out in the desert east of San Diego, and temps are peaking there at around 104-107F already, these days. Probably won't let off until September.

U P D A T E : Prototype MONSTER Mk136 Mod1 extractor is in and it frickin' cycles like butter. (See photo.) Very happy. Going into production.

You guys remember how all these extractors for the alternate AR calibers are weaker than a standard 5.56 extractor?

My Mk136 Mod1 extractor has 100% of the claw thickness of a standard 5.56 extractor and 97% of the head thickness. Some smart-ass is gonna say, "Wait, only 97%?" Dude. Ain't gonna get any better than that. You wanna go back to 50% like other Grendel extractors? Didn't think so.

So, our 6A/65G extractors are now basically as strong as any 5.56 extractor.

That. Is. A. Good. Thing.

Keep you updated on production ETA cuz, unfortunately, it ain't lookin' pretty these days....

at 300 rds on the bolt now at bolt gun pressures and no issues , things going slower then expected works got me 6 days on at 12 hours 1 day off then back to 6/12's, hopefully we can get some new ppl hired and i can get back to normal hours again
