BFT, my understanding is that the laws vary state to state (Castle doctrine for example). A lot of law is what a reasonable person would do in the situation, self defense invoked when you have a reasonable fear of injury to yourself or another. I think there is a clause about you can use force to protect your property as well.
There is also the saying "If you would have peace, prepare for war!" A strong show of force can often can have a deterrence effect.
This quote is from the Breitbart story worthy of ridicule.

In other words, shut up and let the mob riot and destroy your property, they are just exercising their first 1st am rights. If you dare to try to protect yourself and your home, we will put you in prison.

If a person uses deadly force, "then that person will need a small fortune to deal with the legalities" that will follow. Were talking a price figure that most people will never have saved, even by the end of their lives. Deadly force needs to be the absolute last option, when being confronted by any threat. That said, never leave your life in the hands of a mob or any criminal in the hopes of them showing restraint or mercy.. When a mob crosses a private property line, "making threats" then the gloves are off in my opinion. We have a castle doctrine where I live and criminal trespassing is not punished lightly...A person needs to talk to a good criminal lawyer, "to assemble a good strategic self defence plan" where one lives..

If a self-defense shooting takes place in a "blue" city, you can be sure the city authorities will try and nail the gun owner, if at all and even remotely possible.
Thus, my abundance of caution in analyzing the best way to handle the situation to stay alive and free.
It's a pity the country has come to this, where the authorities coddle the mob and demonize citizens trying to mind their own business, but here we are....

I've spent the last 18 months providing armed security for a department store chain in North and NE Portland, Oregon. I quit last week. The liability is just too great.
Atlanta PD fired a police officer within 24 hours of a use of force. The former officer was charged with Felony Murder with 72 hours. This was for a use of force that while ill advised was probably legal under Georgia law.
I linked an article in post #2 of this thread. It tells the story of a man on the street trying to defend himself against Antifa. He's now a convicted criminal. I've come to the realization that there is no law in Multnomah County, Oregon. We are without law. The Left is in control and any dissent must be destroyed. Whether you act legally is of no consequence.

I agree completely. I don't believe any polls, what I do believe is that there is a HUGE majority of people that hate what is going on and can see that the demorats are pandering to it completely. They will not speak out for fear of being attacked, but they will turn out in November and make their voices heard at the ballot box. Biden's only chance is voter fraud. I predict the House will turn over also.

The Yugoslav chicks really tells it like it is.What is going on in the US is a repeat of what has happened around the world.Just look at what is going on in Portland.From the looks of things it will get worse leading up to the election.I feel for horde members who live in liberal states.
