Another Ammo PANIC!

It's all panic buying. It makes folks feel like they have some control over a situation. Be it toilet paper, ammo, food, batteries, etc.
If you have a thousand rounds of ammo or the means to produce even half that much, if.....again I say "if" you ever had cause to really need that much ammo in one caliber, it probably doesn't matter if your store is sold out of stock.
I roll my own ammo and buy some of my 9mm and all my 22 rounds. If I really needed to use that much ammo, who gives a rats a#@ if I can't buy any more. It isn't like Hollywood folks.
There aren't "Native Americans" on horseback riding in a circle around your house so you can go through 1000 rounds and take them all out so you can go out and buy some KFC through the Drive-Thru"!
Buy what you need to enjoy shooting like we all do. It will come back. If there is money to be made, the industry will be there for the consumer.
The time to hoard ammo and reloading materials is if we see a different White House resident or a different majority in the Senate or both. Now that would be a really scary time!!!!!!!!

This is the time of year I normally stock up anyway. I have 15k primers, 2500 180 .40 Ibejihead, 500 DTAC, 500 107 TMK, and 500 75 ELDM inbound. The primers are my standard 10k small pistol and combo small and large rifle.

I should be fine for the rest of the year.

Welllllll, add 16lb of H4350, 8lb of Varget, 1k 6.5 142gr SMK, and 1K Peterson 6.5CM.

Went to Academy after work today to get a couple of cans of Coleman propane for my Annealeez.And I walked through the gun and ammo Dept..Just about every type of ammo was sold out. There is no 22LR,no 9 mm ,no 357 ,no 45 caliber,no .223 ,wasn’t even many shotgun shells.Glad I don’t need any ammo .I have tens of thousands of everything I shoot,and then some!
Anyway,the shortage is probably just temporary because of the coronavirus panic. Maybe they think someone’s going to try to rob their toilet paper.LOL! My advice is if it isn’t urgent for you to go shopping,don’t. People are being ridiculous.

At least some of your stores are open. All the stores in my county have been shuttered since Tuesday...

You all do realize there is an election in 7 months right? This level of shortage will not abate until after the election. And that’s if Trump gets re-elected. If grandpa get elected this shortage will last for a while. Sandy hook took a long time to get everything in stock. A year+

Trump has been a killer for the gun industry, which isn’t a bad thing. No one is worried he’s taking away rights so there isn’t a huge supply of guns, ammo, components just waiting to be shipped in.

There was already a significant short supply of powders before this happen. 8208xbr has been very hard to come by. Varget has been tough.

If you need reloading components, buy them now.
