Another Ammo PANIC!

SGAMMO are not accepting orders because of high demand. Ammoseek has a "High Demand Alert" Has anyone had any trouble getting ammo? Also was 6.5 Grendel ever on the Remington web site? I can't find it now.

There is definitely toilet paper panic buying right now. LOL!
I have recently been to Bass Pro shops and price matched some bullets off AmmoSeek. And I just bought 2 pounds of H335 at Academy . Shelves seem to be full of factory ammo .Looks normal.

Went to several stores today and ammo shelves are all but empty except for "oddball" calibers. They did have 6.5 Grendel though. None of it affects me as I reload for lots of stuff and have lots of components. The hysteria is a joke........

Perhaps we should look at this on the brighter side. What fun activity would you like to do if you had to be isolated for a few weeks or months?

I am pretty set on components for the foreseeable future, been putting by since before the last panic.
Too poor to buy much at once, but it's like saving change, adds up.

yeah im not worried i have enough bullets primers and powder to load alot of 6.5 grendel and cm and i think ive got about 2k of 5.56 ive loaded stashed away might even be a lil more, i am going to go out and pick up some cheap 9mm and maybe another box or 2 of the ammo i use in my carry guns atleast though

I have plenty of Varget and IMR 4064 and a whole bunch of 155 FMJ-BT .308 bullets. I may have to start shooting .308 soon. Recently ordered some more .243 and .264 bullets. Too bad some of the powders I wanted to try are out of stock everywhere. Looks like its time to start trying different powders that I do have though.

Just loaded up some .45 ACP XTP loads for my step brother inlaw since he is headed to do some woods hiking soon and cant find any in stores around here.

People are panicking and now hoarding again.

i havent seen our local gunstore/pawn shop packed at all yet an i was just in there a few days ago so should be fine here atleast for now , 9mm is the only thing i dont load for , i do however for 45 and have plenty on hand so im good there atleast if i needed to switch my carry gun again

Sure glad I reload, havent used factory ammo in years and have tons of brass for all the calibers I own along with too many pounds of powder,primers and bullets.

I think I'm down to my last 150 pounds of powder. It's going to be hard but I'm going to try to manage. LOL

Went into Sportsmans in Reno yesterday. Ammo section pretty wiped out, hand guns for rack/display only maybe 20% filled. Bullets low, primers almost wiped out. They was a limit of one brick of primers and one bottle of powder. Did get a brick of CCI 209M for $19.99 and last bottle of E3.

I talked to a gun shop owner in my area and was told this. On Friday March 6 one of the major whole sale suppliers in the US, can't remember the name, had 40 some thousand cases if 9mm ammo when he made his order. On Friday March 13 when he called to make an order for a customer that wanted 1000 rounds of 9mm they did not have a single box in stock.

I have always said that you should keep at least a few thousands round laying around for a "rainy day."

Saturday it was a rainy day and I was caught up with work so I spent most of the day at the reloading bench.

I had a bunch of stuff in my cart on MidWay.com and some jerks stole the bullets, powder and primers I had in there! This is crazy!

This is the time of year I normally stock up anyway. I have 15k primers, 2500 180 .40 Ibejihead, 500 DTAC, 500 107 TMK, and 500 75 ELDM inbound. The primers are my standard 10k small pistol and combo small and large rifle.

I should be fine for the rest of the year.

Fortunately, the Obama years taught me a lesson.

Keep enough components on hand, for every cartridge you own, to load at least a couple hundred rounds for each, or loaded ammo on hand.

Keep a minimum of 5k rounds of .22lr at all times.

Replace your stock before you go to the range. Never allow your stock to fall beneath your predetermined minimum for each cartridge. If you can't replace it, don't use it. If a long term shortage occurs, you may need that ammo to feed/defend your family.
A firearm without ammunition is useless.

stiopped in at my local gun shop plenty of powder bullets primers etc , cheap 9mm was all gone so instead of paying 8$ a box for ammo like normal i ended up paying 11$ bought 2 boxes of 9mm 1 more pound of ppv for my grendel and they had 2 boxes each of hornaday 6.5 140g match hollow points and sst bullets i was temped to buy both boxes of each but i was nice and bought one box of each and left the others for somone else , just wanted some 140g bullets for my cm since the heaviest thing i have on hand is a 123g, my local store does not usually stock 6.5 bullets in any wieght so it was a big surprise to see them on the shelf

Shooting buddy of mine called me a little while ago. Told me the local stores are sold out of 9 mm and most pistol ammo.
He thinks it’s panic buying.

Had to sell my setup years ago, and told myself when I found nelly get into a Grendel I’ll start stacking a little stuff at a time..components..etc..

Now there’s nothing and I’ve got squat for Grendel stuff..

I want to be able to shoot it this year, but honestly if this doesn’t stop, I won’t be...
