Permanently attaching the brace to the tube is one of the no no's that gets you in trouble.

I received one of those kits and it comes off just like a standard stock. With all the gray area in this I'm going to keep it as is for now, if I meet a friendly LEO at my local range I may discuss this idea with them to determine how they would enforce their perception of the law.
