Cold weather charging

Automatic transmission fluid, won't freeze and can handle high temps. Cheap too. Smells a bit.

i load a mag and hit the bolt catch release after roping up the gun. Noise only last for a second and generally they don't know exactly what direction it came from.

Seen too many people try to ride the charging handle and just hear a "click," when they pull the trigger.

Power-stroke the rifle when loading to get full BCG inertia.

Use lubricant that actually works in extreme cold.

The extractors in those pictures need the corners of the lips honed down.
