AK 65x39
#1
There is a dealer who's selling the Vepr 65x39 on Gunbroker. They have it listed at 850.00 and its the one without the Kreb modifications. So maybe Bill A can shed some light on this. You know whether these are here in small number or large numbers.

In a way I'm excited for a AK in the 6.5 Grendel, so I can blast away with the steel cased wolf. However I'm not fond of the price tag...
12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel
Surge - Rugged Suppressor
Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

back when ak parts kits were cheap i wish i had put a few aside just to build 6.5 akm semis. it looks like a natural round to do a AK-74 and besides the 6.5 is sort of the 7n6/5.45 rounds bigger brother!--lol

i have to try the 6.5 rounds in the 7.62x9 ak mags-- might be too much curve and taper --but i am having good luck the the ASC 30rd 7.62x39 mags and they look to curved to work --but they do.

i'm blasting away with steel wolf 6.5 in an ar-15 with no problems -- you don't have to have an ak to shoot steel case or steel jackets.

i have shot thousands and thousands of rounds of 223/5.56 rounds in ar-15 and m16s m4s with no problems and the DOD tested the m16s firing steel cases in a 40K round torture test and found very little in wear.

that aside $850 ain't bad for an AKM these days for a well made one. even the CAI AKM clones bring $500+

i wonder if ak-74 mags will feed 6.5??
