Free float tube that will hide Syrac ordnance block

Want to use a Syrac Ordance clamp on adjustable gas block and I would like to know if anyone makes a free float tube that will hide it. Thanks for any ideas

What are the specs on your barrel? (length, port placement (carbine, mid, rifle) , etc)

Just get a hand guard longer than your gas port. 15 inch will do it for a 20 inch barrel. Most of the time mil spec any way.

Definitely want clamp on and would like to cover it with a. 15 inch tube
Any suggestions for a smaller adjustable clamp on gas block would also be appreciated

Definitely NOT the Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS. I learned that the hard way. I'm guessing it's a JP barrel? That's what I'm running on mine

Odin Works are 1.6 and Seekins Precision 1.8 internal diameter. They both are Keymod and Seekins has a quad rail too

Definitely NOT the Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS. I learned that the hard way. I'm guessing it's a JP barrel? That's what I'm running on mine

My SLR clamp on gas blocks fit with out any problems with these hand guards. It was a close fit but it doesn't hit the inside of my MI hand guard even when flexed at the end. The Syrac screw type worked well with my other builds but I have never used their clamp on gas blocks.

My 22" bull barreled 5.56 has a standard low pro gas block, and a Rubber City adjustable gas key. This allowed me to mount a UTG 4/15 Super Slim free float hand guard. The adjustable gas key is doing a great job, in lieu of an adjustable gas block.



Some folks don't seem to care for things UTG, but this one rides on one of my most precise shooters.

The adjustable gas key looks like the easiest way to go after reading your experience with it. I wouldn't care if UTG or what ever is on a product as long as it works. Like I have stated before, there is getting to be lots of choices for custom builds.

A clamp-on .936 block could be a problem with the Midwest Ind. Gen II handguard. I've got a Gen II and the Yankee Hill clamp-on gas block hits with a .750 barrel. I really like that handguard but it doesn't have a lot of room between the barrel and ID. I'm looking at the SLR adjustable to solve my problem.

Nice rig. Exactly the kind of set up I am looking for. Back to the interweb for adjustable gas key research.

Looks like Seekins has the best chance so far to hide a Syrac .936 adjustabe block. The adjustable gas keys are also something I want to investigate further. Thanks to the Horde for all the info. Elf
