I'm in need of an adjustable gas system for my newest build, has anyone tried a Noveske switchblock or any alternatives? Need to be able to fire suppressed and unsuppressed in same session. The Allen key ones get stuck in one position after shooting until you clean the Allen head with Kroll. Won't have time to do that. I haven't tried shooting it yet with my can because its locked in ATF jail, but tried a thunderbeast and it was way overgassed and beat it up. I prefer not to have all the crap blown into my face either....
Sorry, I can't help you since I don't own one. I've been actually looking at the SLR Sentry gasblocks just 5 minutes ago.
It looks like the sentry doesn't have a way to switch back and forth to default positions, only a guess of what the setting is.

I do have a .223 20" rifle length Noveske Switchblock in use on my Grendel. Due to the fact that my Grendel is brand new and I shot about 83 rounds through it my experience with the Switchblock is limited. But I can give you this info so far:
1. my gasport diameter is 2.7mm / 0,1062
2. It was drilled at rifle length position
3. the gun runs flawlessly in nomal mode (selector to right position)
4. the selfloading mechanism is blocked in the "0" position
5. the "S" position (selector to left position) resulted in a double feed with Hornady 123 grs A-MAX factroy ammo during a five shot group. I could feel the drastically decreased bolt carrier speed. I will keep an eye on that and give you more info asap
The only advise I can give so far ist to keep the mechanism well oiled (I used KG-4) to avoid a fretting of the powder residue.

I just built a 12.5" rifle and installed one but I have not fired it yet. I chose it due to the ease of switching plates and the option of custom port sizes. I too have a can in ATF purgatory so I can't fully test it for a few months. My goal is to get full function with suppressed subsonic, suppressed supersonic and unsuppressed supersonic.

1/4 turn detent lets you feel and hear the count and return to a previous setting.
