Inexpensive Barrels???

Well, my father and I have been playing with Green Mountain barrels for a little while now. So far, I wouldn't say that the results are too bad. Attached are some targets that I shot with my father's 6mmbr. This was fired from a bipod. Not bad at all.

I'm way impressed with these barrels for all the more they cost.

Anyone have experiences to share regarding the more economical barrels?

This particular barrel is from one of their economical 10 twist 4140 blanks. Was shooting 68grn bergers and matchburners on top of 31gr of LT-32. I'm getting around 3450fps with that.

Took the rifle out again for some load development. It seems to be shooting better.

We have a Krieger 8 twist blank to slap on this rifle, but I think we are going to shoot this one a bit more. I'm going to see how that 29.5gr load pans out in the club match next Saturday. So far though, I'm way impressed with this 99 dollar blank. I didn't really expect this much out of it.

Today, the rifle averaged between .5 and .6 minutes.
