So it may go through, part of the reason the gun grabbers have been unsuccessful since the last ban expired is that the want to go to far honestly if all they were pushing for was a high cap ban they could probably get it pushed through it wouldn't reduce crime but they could probably get it passed

Honestly the existence of extra high capacity mags save a few people in the aurora shooting had he been using reliable 30 rd magazines instead of a beta mag his gun probably would not have jammed any one who has ever seen jerry miculek fire a revolver or tom knapp fire a pump shot gun knows that training will surpass mag capacity or the type of action

“We are going to ban assault weapons. We are going to eliminate all of the loopholes that existed previously,” Silver said.

The new state legislation will:

* Limit ammunition clips to seven. It’s now 10

* Force gun owners to renew their licenses every five years

* Stiffen penalties for using a gun in the commission of a crime

* Stiffen penalties for bringing a gun on school property

* New restrictions on the assault weapons already owned by New Yorkers

“They will be basically not permitted to be transferred. They will be grandfathered in but not in terms of a transfer. There will be a registry,” Silver said.

I read in Chicago last week that their new legislation their bill wanted registry of all gold as well. I cant remember the website but i will find it and post it as soon as I remember. Does any of this sound familiar to you history buffs? By the way the NYC ban also prohibits passing on your grandfathered weapons on to your heirs.

You know i actually typed something else to begin with and realized I dont have the right to tell you what to do so I deleted it. But take a moment to think how many battles were fought in the NE United States by Washington and his troops and what they sacrificed for US to have here in what use to be the Greatest nation on Earth.
