Very cool scope for daytime hunting .

Getting ready to go on a cast and blast to central Florida……Pigs & Barramundi……

This will be 100% daytime hunting, which is something I haven’t done in a very long time.

My thermals look like I have a Volvo truck muffler on my AR……..poor target recognition in the heat of the day……Etc.

Yesterday I mounted a 1X4 Trijicon on my hunting upper…….

What a difference, no weight, huge field of view and lighting fast.

The 1 X 4 absolutely rocks for hunting.

Shot the heck out of a 2 minute steel gong at 200 meters.

In the world we live in of 1x6, 1x8, 1x10 scopes the older 1x4s are often looked down on but they are really good scopes. I have a S&B Short Dot that I ran at the Ft Benning 3 gun match years ago and had no trouble with the 500 yard steel. I also have an older Meopta that was one of the first daylight bright dots in a 1x4. Both are still in service and have killed many things.

Don’t get me wrong I have some several of all the other LPVOs for different things and I am addicted to great glass, but those 1x4s aren’t going anywhere soon.
