Aero S-One handguard quick disconnects won't work

I just did a 12.5" build with an Aero S-One handguard and Satern/Liberty barrel and the sling quick disconnect holes in the handguard won't work because the barrel is a touch to big and the disconnects bottom out on the barrel without clicking in. Has anybody found any lower profile quick disconnects? I've tried 3 different ones and they all bottom out. I can add a quick disconnect into an mlok slot but I'd like to avoid that. I'm almost tempted to try grinding down one of the disconnects. There seems to be way more metal there than needed.

Put the quick disconnect on it are get a thinner profile barrel is your best options.

The 3 qd's you tried, were they all the same brand, if yes then try another brand? I have one or two that seem to have a longer shaft on them compared to the other ones I have on slings.
