Light, non-ballistic, Bullet

My Grendel loves 95g Vmax, but Im looking for a bullet that will function better on med-->large game. Any ideas? I was looking at the 107g SMKs, but have heard people in the Grendel community have had a hard time when trying to accurize this projectile

not a high BC bullet or most accurate but tough on game bullets for sure. DNS has killed lots of hogs with Speer 90gr TNT bullets

Thanks, I was looking at the partitions. Anyone with any luck getting a tight group with them? Looking forward to trying some of these FB projectiles at 100m.

100 Nosler BT. Great bullet, crazy accurate in all my rifles Over the years. Unless when you say “non ballistic” you mean you don’t want a tip?

Have never used Nosler Ballistic tip ammunition, someone once described it to me as being a varmint/frangible round. After reading some replies to the post, I've realized I was misusing the term. Sorry, and thanks.

If penetration and toughness are youR needs go with any of the solid copper bullets or a bonded bullet.

Typical ballistic tipped bullets are not known for great penetration. I use the 100 nosler bt for hunting deer sized game and smaller. It has performed very well for that and for target work out to 600 yds.

120 Gold dot, 120 Prohunter, 100 NBT. Gold dots first. They are cheap, and they seem to be easy to tune so far. Performance reputation from Gold dots is hard to argue with.

try either the 100gr. Nosler Partitions or the 100gr. Barnes TTSX.
get close enough to keep the impact speed ~2100 - 2200 fps. if possible.
both these suggested earlier. both will be good.

Still don't understand the ellipses and attitude comment, maybe I have an elliptical attitude. Could be my linear eccentricity with a little vertex and co-vertex thrown in, I dunno. Maybe the three dots I used to indicate that there may be a lot of choices for good effect on game.

Inch and a quarter at 100 and less than 2 inches at 200, same rifle I can get a little better with 123gr SSTs.

Over many three, five, and 10 shot strings, the best grouping I could get with the 123SST was with Benchmark but the group's measure is embarrassing to post here

The Hornady 129 interlock out performed both the SST and ELDs in my rifle at just under 2moa.

Are you sure there's not something wrong with the rifle, scope are scope mount?

Maybe. Went to the range and shot again today. The SSTs looked allot better. Im attaching photos from to day SST with Benchmark and CFE223
