This was just a good time. I don't think anything went the way it was supposed to go, but nothing bad happened and we had a great time. Got to love it when you can start off your hunt with daylight hogs, something that is quite rare for me.

No doubt, and that is something we discussed. We were coming in roughly from the North. If we tried a more Easterly or Westerly approach, there would have been cattle directly behind the hogs. Short of hiking several hundred more yards around to the far side of the pasture and coming in from the exact opposite direction, we were working with our best choice, which wasn't all that great.
