New Frontier Six8 lower

For those interested in polymer mags with a 2.300" OAL New Frontier has released it's Six8 lower.

I have the LWRC set.

Grendel factory ammo will run from the six8 pmags but not handload/reloads.

It does work with factory ammo, if someone wanted to build a factory ammo blaster.

I have a big thread about my build and results, the 30 round mags hold 28 rounds of grendel.

That's weird.... Why would a mag uniformly work with factory ammo, and not with handloads? Are there handloads you tried loaded long or something?

I've wanted something like this for a while (minus the LWRC price tag) so I'm kind of interested in the NF offering. Will a regular upper mate to these lowers, or do you have to use a special upper as well? I wonder if anyone would consider making steel Grendel mags for this magwell size, 2.3" is cool, but 2.4" would be cooler.

Handloads/reloads wouldn't reliable run because a resized case body is not as small as it comes from the factory.

The grendel case is already large around then the spc case, so once you add that lil extra case width of a resized case it stops running properly, and your gas has to be spot on are it's even worse.

No normal ar15 uppers don't fit you have to use uppers designed to fit the SIX8 lowers. New Frontier makes them as well.

There was a company that said they was going to make a metal mag for these lowers but I highly doubt it will ever happen
