With being "social distancing" and doing limited work from home I found that I have a good bit of time on my hands. Since last Saturday I have cleaned up my loading room and actually found about 4 feet more of my loading bench and a good bit of floor space. I finally got to a 2 1/4 lb coffee can crammed full of 9mm cases that I had already cleaned and was ready to size. I sized them all on my single stage press. While I was at this I cleaned a 50 cal. ammo can crammed full of 223 cases getting ready to size them all. I also found about 400 223 cases that I had already cleaned and were ready to size. I sized all of them and most of them needed the primer crimp removed and I used my RCBS primer pocket sedge die to do this. I also loaded 45 rounds for my 30x47 cal rifle. I loaded 50 rounds for a new AR 223 that I built a year ago and have not had time to do any load work on. My right shoulder and neck and middle back are SORE from pulling that handle a few thousand times. Who knew that you really need to be in good physical shape to hand load.
I still have some 6.5 Grendel, 308, 7.5x55, 223, 9mm & 38 special loading to do.

On the serious side 1shot brings up some things to consider. Carpal tunnel syndrome or repetitive strain injury. My hand used to hurt If had to trim more than about 20 cases using a Wilson case trimmer until I made a mod so as to use foot pressure to hold the case holder down.
I really need to move things on the bench for more ergonomic and efficient movements while reloading and get a better chair for back comfort.
There are also more comfortable press handles that can help with fatigue.
Reloading is like many sports, if you overdo it you will feel it the next day.

Finished 300 556 and am now working on some hundreds of the 40 S&W.
Already did several hundred 6.5 Grendel and some 25-45 Sharps.
Might even load up some 270 Win.if i need something to do.

Processing of brass.Resizing, depriming ,trimming ,swaging primer pockets etc. Thats the part I dont like to do. But I do it in steps.I have thousands of rounds of processed and primed brass in baggies ,50 round per, ready to go.
Weighing the powder and seating bullets is the part I enjoy.

Resizing 6mm AR brass from last years prairie dog shoot....Gotta reload all those and a few hundred 6XC's for this years trip! I cannot fathom a better way to be socially distant than to be out on the prairie dog towns!

I'm working a power plant outage an hour away from home. 7-12s so no time to reload, but thankful to be working with the way the Market's gone. Not a good time to be tapping the retirement savings.

Agreed! I am an operations employee at a coal fired power plant.....We might be locked down if it gets bad.....but so far so good.....We too have an outage going on.....It's a critical asset so work won't stop unless it has to......

Hang in there fellows the market will come back. I have been through this a few times in my life. I have learned if your are on the train don't jump off or it will run over you. Diversify your holdings well if you can and as you get older put most in "safer" areas. Nothing is truly safe if you want to make something on it but some things like CD,s and Bonds get hit less. If you have some money to play with and want to be in the market now is the time. I bought some stock last week that was about half off, Marathon Oil and Coke because they also pay a pretty good dividend. Over the past 40 years or so statistics show that when the market takes a big dip within two years it is back up with a pretty good gain over where it was before. In the big dip I think it was 2008 I took a pretty good hit but within 5 years later I had gained back everything I had lost plus half again that amount.
I am still cranking on that handle. 100 rounds of 9mm yesterday.

Fairly soon I should be doing 124gr, 180gr, and 185gr curls. Once those are all done I will be working on 158gr curls, and when all that is done it will be 148gr, 158gr, and 200gr lead curls. Number and frequency of reps all comes down to if I am allowed to keep working or not.
I should be doing some 100, 120, and 123gr curls for the 6.5 though.

Just finished up 500 rnds of .38 for the little lady. Finally settled on a 6.5G load and cranked out a hundred this morning. Probably get another 400 done in the next week and then it's on to .223,9mm, 45-70, 38-55, 30-30, man when did I have time to work? Glad I've been stocking up on components.
Having retired a year ago I keep all my brass processed as we shoot it. Then when needed I start loading it.
I thought about selling my weapons back to the government, but after a thorough background check it was determined that the buyer has a long history of violence and is mentally unstable. Therefore could not pass NICS.

Me too, the more stressful the day has been, the more I enjoy the run.
To stay on topic, I plan to powder coat several hundred boolits for my .45 this afternoon.

I think I may be getting into shape. LOL Sunday and yesterday I loaded 100 rounds of 38 Special +p 135 Speer Gold Dot SB for the snubs. Loaded 40 rounds 7.5x55. Sized 200 38 Special cases to load up blasting ammo 158 lead. Also sized 100 223 that I had shot up a while back. I am working up to starting in on sizing the 50 cal. ammo can FULL of 223 cases that many will need the primer pocket crimp swaged out also. Planning on loading the 200 38 Special blasting ammo today. I have also noticed something. I keep finding loading components, mostly bullets and brass that I forgot I had.

I have been dealing with my dad passing last week by sitting at the reloading bench. He is the one that taught me how to reload 45+ years ago. I resized about 800 pieces of grendel, and 150 458 socom. Put them in the pins for a few hours while I cleaned his guns and put them all away. Tired, sore back and arms now, yep out of shape.

Sorry for your loss Greg. My father and best friend passed away two and a half years ago and I still miss him every day. My Dad was not a hand loader but he was a mister fix it and taught me much. He really liked to work on lawn mowers. Last week it was time to mow my yard and I got out the riding mower that was my Dad's and serviced it and mowed with it. It brought back good memories of us working on this as well as many other mowers together. May you doing things that you did with your Dad bring good memories to you.

50 rds of 38spc 160gr powder coated
My to do list
This week
Load 400 More 6.5G Ssts
Powder coat 200 6.5 125gr NOE bullets
Finish loading my last box of hdy 60gr 223
At this point Im not sure whether Ill be delayed going back to work the Company I work for delayed all crew changes for two weeks Im unsure at the moment if my crewchange will be delayed two weeks or more.
If so I have coffee cans of cast bullets Ive been needing to load.
