Hey guys, I just wanted to share a new Ammunition Search Engine website I have just completed development on. I'm not here to be a shill and promote my website, but I feel it could be a valuable resource for anyone buying 6.5 grendel ammo online as it makes it very easy to compare ammunition prices amongst the top retailers online to ensure you find the best price. We also have email and on-site alerts setup allowing you to set very precise parameters for the ammo you are looking for and you will be notified instantly once said ammo is in stock at your preset price range.

Neat. I like the option to Hide Steel. Search engine shows some good prices. Needs some indicator of shipping. Lowest Ammo shipping prices are STAGGERING.
I expect 12 hour tuxedo courier service, for what they are charging. Almost $50 just shipping for 1000 rounds. I'm seriously thinking of just putting their URL in my Raspberry Pi Hole to block it from me accidentally ever going back there again.

Amen on that. Was just looking at 1,000 round 9 mm for $116.00. Shipping and tax at $45.00 kills it for me. Before I pay that, I'll buy it local at $0.15/round and save a few bucks.

This was my first reaction. I don't expect a site like that to tell me exactly what shipping will be, but I do want to know whether or not I should be anticipating additional costs upon checkout.
Btw, thanks for the heads up on Lowest Ammo. Carolina Munitions is another to stay away from (roughly $115 to ship a case of 556? Bye...).

Good to hear! Be aware that price-games like that are playing search engines, so that they will show up at the top. Their listed "price" is purposely false, with the rest buried in the shipping. Net result was me going from "wow what a great search engine!" To "well so much for that; this doesn't work"

These ammo search engines need to have a section to screen out those vendors who chose to comply with the communists' requests not to sell or ship to certain states.

When they don't display the shipping cost without having to "sign in" or input your email,,,etc. I figure they're probably tooo high,,, I leave the site.

Just wanted to update you guys. As requested, I have added a shipping indicator for each retailer on each listing. This is a very general indicator based on known shipping prices and can very based on many other factors but mimics that of what AmmoSeek provides. I will be adding shipping filters into the search functions this weekend hopefully as that will help you filter out any known high shipping retailers from the search results. Please let me know any other ideas you guys may have. I can pretty much code anything!

Not trying to sharpshoot; this is hopefully constructive - I found the shipping indicator because I read your post and went on looking for it, but it was not obvious a) what the icon was (until I hovered over it) and b) if I wanted shipping info, where to look on the line.
I don't have an airtight "here's how it should be improved" answer for you, but I'd recommend putting it somewhere in the vicinity of the price or the PPR column. Adding yet another column may crowd things unnecessarily.
Overall the indicator itself looks good - the only improvement may be to color code the low/med/high indications, which would differentiate them a bit more quickly to the eye. I don't think it needs to be more refined than the simple low/med/high that it currently is.

Thanks for the input! I went back and forth with giving the indicator its own column but as you mentioned it does start to crowd things when adding in an extra column. I settled with its current location which I do agree isn't extremely obvious but I found it to be a good balance between obvious and not overcrowding. I will probably mess around with it further as I tend to spend hours on the smallest details until I feel its perfect (my wife hates me for that). I did originally have it more color coded than it is now, however when looking at the site there was a bunch of green, yellow orange and red and it felt too Christmasy haha. I will probably change the level just below high to an orange color (I still have that saved). Im forever experimenting and truly appreciate everyone's input.
EDIT: I did end up changing the medium shipping icon to an orange color to help differentiate a little easier...may have to clear cache for new icon to show up correctly.
