1st rifle deer in over 20 years. Started hunting rifle deer again last year after not doing so for 20 years and carried my old 30-06.
No deer.
This year I took the GRENDEL out, loaded with American gunner 123gr. HPBT and took a little muley at 275 yards. After glassing for several hours and getting discouraged at not seeing so much as a rabbit I was about to move to a different location when my Eagle eye GF said she spotted a doe. After closer inspection I saw that it was a little buck. She found it and the GRENDEL did the rest. She even helped with the gutting and packing it out in the much needed AZ rain. It was a nice belated (Nov.16) 66th birthday present.

I thought about selling my weapons back to the government, but after a thorough background check it was determined that the buyer has a long history of violence and is mentally unstable. Therefore could not pass NICS.
