Anyone had any dealings with Maxim Firearms? Ordered a leftie type II bolt a week or so ago, no response to emails, facebook message, or phone calls... Just wondering if they are a legit outfit, or do I start a dispute resolution with my CC company...

Their bolts have been around a long time. Well know in these parts. Legit place. No comms is concerning though.

I ordered two 6.5 G bolts from them a couple of weeks ago. Got an order confirmation then radio silence after that until I got a shipping notification. I was traveling for work so wasn't too worrier about it. They showed up in the mail box 3-4 days after the shipping notification. Bolts look great, shoot great so I would say they are legit even if they took a bit to ship. If I remember correctly you can check your order status on their webpage for your account.

I guess I didn't sweat the little to no comms because I was traveling a lot during the order period.

Ja, should work out...filed a dispute, 2 hours later, got a shipping notice...be here in 3-4 days. All could have been avoided with a quick email reply... Glad to hear the bolts are good quality. A few more minor parts, and the project will be complete...just wish I could get a break from these 12-14 hour days... Whats the best way to post photos here? Please don't say photobucket...not paying thru the nose for a couple of photos...LOL!!!! Thx shooter545 and Kswhitetails for all the replies!!!!

Interesting development...got a refund credit on my CC from Maxim...after getting a shipping notice from USPS that a part was scheduled for pickup... Hmmmm... Well, will order it again and see what develops....Hope they still make these things...last part of the puzzle...and apparently, the only source for type II bolts that I've been able to find. Anyone out there know of another source? Really don't want to start all over with a type I build...

Ja, legit, and I'll laugh along with you... But it works only when vendors communicate, and when there are other options for the same component... Wish me luck..going to get this leftie done one of these days...bolt is last piece of the puzzle...

It should but you can get a taller front sight post if there isn’t enough elevation.

There are other vendors who sell these but this is a good description.
