Faxxon 18" barrel is in, need recommendations to finish setup

OK here is a thing, i just received my Faxxon firearms 18" 1.68lbs barrel! (time to replace that piece of shit BCA junk)

My system is A2 stock with rifle length spring & buffer. And I got a quality toolcraft BCG. I will be shooting either quality factory ammo or own reloads (no steel).

So given the above info:

1) Do you think I need adjustable gas block? for example, to fine tune it in such a way that it is both reliable all the time but at the same time doesn't go hard on BCG etc?

That shit is so expensive but man, its only 0.6oz its impressive! I'm trying to make my setup as light as possible cuz the scope already ate up a lot of weight.

Also, if i buy above gas block its pretty much forever right? Like...barrel gets shot out and worn, but gas blocks, especially the above one, should last for really long time? correct?

2) can you recommend me a good/quality compensator?
I want to reduce recoil and significantly bump up the accuracy of the follow up shots and also i'd like to remove completely the flashlight/fireball. what would work best?

3) now... as mentioned above, i need to make this thing as light as i can without bad compromises. So... i know that nut takes lots of weight, can i use aluminum nut? If yes - which one?

Me personally I do adjustable gas and lowmass bcg on all my rifles. Might not be needed but it sure can hurt to beable to tune the rifle for better feel and running.

As too the gas block in the link, your not going to notice the weight of a regular steel gas block on the barrel.

As far as saving weight, you aren't going to do much better then where your at due to the scope and scope mount your wanting to use.

You could ditch the a2 stock and go for a lighter stock and drill some holes in your a2 pistol grip, might lose a smidge of an once that way as well.

Go with a carbon fiber handguard instead of aluminum.

As far the muzzle device if you want great recoil reduction your going to have to live with the concussion and fireball it can make in low light.

i have one little concern... i got a long 15" rail there, and my old barrel nut is kinda long and big. i wonder if the styles of the barrel nut i shown above would even work with it then?

If you are going to handload, you can probably find a faster burning powder that will reduce recoil and reduce muzzle blasts and flash. The adjustable gas block probably wouldn't be a bad idea especially when getting away from the normal powders and changing to lighter action parts. Let us know how that Faxon barrel shoots because I'm considering going the same route with my BCA upper.

I don't know how much weight you're planning on cutting, but I can't imagine a gas block is going to make or break your build. You definitely don't need to spend a ton to go adjustable:

Most free float handguards use a proprietary barrel nut. You'll want to verify what your handguards uses before you try something different. When shopping for ultralight rail systems, make sure they factor in the nut - some list the rail weight and the nut separately, while others list it all together (or don't list the hardware/nut weight at all).
