Ok guys that was as easy as pie. Got my email today with code then went to Bear Creek and ordered my barrel, the SS model, paid the shipping cost and now all I have to do is wait for it to be shipped.

You have to set up an account, then email your DD214 or VA card to servicemembers@bearcreekarsenal.com asking for the discount. Once your account is good you can order a barrel for $0 and just select shipping. I just paid the cheap $10 shipping, when I ordered my upper that way I had it in a little over a week.

I too ordered my barrel today. I went with the stainless bull barrel. So it likely isn’t the smartest choice but I simply emailed them a picture of my ID card. They responded very quickly. Like 41bear said, you have to set up and account but then that account is a “veterans” account and gets us 10% off all orders.

Just got off the phone with them. I was informed by a very pleasant sounding young lady that the woman who is responsible assigning the codes is very patiently working her way through the hundreds of emails, so your name will likely come up in the order in which it was received. It sounds like they're pedaling as fast as they can.

I believe that once you set up your account and receive Vet/Mil discount you always get the discount, that said, why would you need a code? Give it a try, why not, and if it doesn't work just cancel the order before hitting the final Enter.

I sent my DD214 last night, got the confirmation and code at 2 pm, today, and placed my order 5 minutes ago. I've already received my order confirmation and a "Thank you for your service".

It's been a long time since I was treated like this.

I ordered a BCA upper on 10/27 as soon as they gave me the vet discount. UPS dropped it off this afternoon and it's perfect.
I'm amazed at how much I got for $301 and since I plan to always use side-charging receivers they'll get my business forever.
