Has anyone found a source for titanium flash hiders with 9/16-24 threading??
I want to buy an AA barrel, but the 9/16-24 threading is throwing up a few road blocks. One is finding a lightweight flash hider. I have a titanium flash hider on another barrel already, and now there is no way I could go back to a heavy steel one!! I guess I'm just spoiled/picky
I searched around at work(terrible access) and couldn't find any titanium flash hiders with 9/16-24 threading. A titanium adapter would work also...

So, AWC Makes titanium brake that I've had great success with. It is also an adaptor for their suppressor.... but even without the suppressor it works well.

a steel adapter would work fine as well an only add a few grams

or you could call the company that made the one you have and the will probably make you one in 9/16-24

The adapter does look light, this is probably what I'll do if I decide to stick with getting an AA barrel. The threads are making me not want to get one. I'm pretty sure V7 isn't going to make a titanium Flash hider just for me

"tactical-advantage-armory.com" One of their specialties is affordable titanium muzzle brakes machined in house using their designs for your caliber and thread pitch. One risk with adapters is that you now have three machined pieces by different vendors so there is always the risk for collision of tolerances as well as possible QC issues. I haven't ordered my Tactical Advantage brake yet for my AA Light Weight upper because I am still setting it up and testing factory and hand loads. However, I watched one of the local Navy guys trying his out on a D I 6.8 SPC. Very effective and unbelievably light in hand when compared to my Silencerco from another AR. They also have You Tube videos demonstrating their products in action.

I'd be happy to make a Ti flash hider for you. I can do any threads the imagination can cook up. Let me know if you're interested. Pics of my flash hider can be see on my website.

I would love a titanium adapter like the one Brownells sells, or a plain Jane A2 or Phantom style flash hider with no teeth or points on the end.
Right now to be able to get a titanium flash hider on this barrel, the adapter(steel=heavy=not what I want out on the end of a barrel) is the best current solution to the AA thread pattern problem.

Have you talked to SLR Rifleworks or V7 Weaponry since they have Ti stuff maybe they could do one with a 9/16x24 threading....

I don't make thread adapters, but I can custom make a flash hider. I can do my flash hider without the teeth on the front or custom design for you, but I don't make copies of other designs so I couldn't make a titanium A2.
