This is not a 2A issue but can anyone recommend a 1911 forum that is run as well as this one is?

This one is ok, but with so many different 1911's out there, it will have its fair share of fan-boys talking smack about other brands. You know - kinda like we do! LOL!

Too late on the brand recommendation, I sold my Glock 20 and Springfield Omega and ordered the STI Nitro.
