(Thus the unimount and MI SS hand guard) It does feel perfectly balanced even with the bipod. I slung it and went for a walk yesterday and hardly noticed it.

Can you list your build parts? I just went back and saw your original post "Finally Done" and see what you meant by lied. That is a nice setup and I really like the Mega Rock Solid SBU Uppers, it is worth the added weight in my opinion. Did you have to heat your upper to get the barrel installed? The new Mega's are opened up a tinnnny bit so you don't have to heat the barrel extension area to fit the barrel in like the models I got last year. Those needed heated and tapped in, super tight fit.

Can't wait to see the range report too...

Yeah those uppers are nice. I love being able to charge it and hold the bolt open with very minimal movement. I can charge it with the back of my thumb and catch the extracted round in my open palm while holding the bolt open without breaking position or chasing down a live round.
I had to heat the upper to get the barrel to fit but it wasn't a big deal (i commandeered my wife's hair dryer under threat of dire punishment) I like the tight fit. and I didn't even need to square it.

I really don't know what gas block, I had it laying around so I used it. I bedded it with blue locktite.

Yes that is the Magpul buttstock. It looks ugly as hell in pictures but wanted to try it out as I didn't want the weight of the PRS and from experience, the adjustability of it are of no use to me. The look worked out for this rifle and the feel is perfect. At first though I had the same thought. If I was going just on appearance I would probably have passed on it which would have been a shame because it balanced the look of the rifle I think.
They seem to have put a lot of thought into it as it has just enough of a hook to it as well as a nice flat bottom for a rear bag. (It also has a monopod attachment if that's your thing) It has a ton of storage and the weight is perfect for this size rifle. It's also pretty inexpensive to boot.

As far as the stock goes, I really like the looks of it. That's the first thing that caught my eye. It looks so clean with nice lines. Very nice build. I like my adjustable stocks and use the feature quite regular but if I ever do a fix stock that one is first on my list. Again nice looking build.

Since the Stock is the topic, I like it is better now that I see it on a rifle. I called and asked a few questions and was told its for states where collapsible stocks are not allowed. So I got the Magpul CTR. Now looking at yours, it has a nice cheek rest, sleek lines and even the sling quick connect spot. I think one of those for my 17HMR might be in store. Very economical price and none of the loose adjustable gizmos. That is one reason I like my ACE Skeleton Stocks but that does just have a solid flowing look with a nice cheek rest...

I just was looking for a fixed stock and the A2 was too short and not too good on a bag I felt. The cheek weld is perfect for my scope height as is the LOP for any shooting position, it's worth a hands on look.

Went out today and got a quick chance to shoot a few. Only about 15 rounds total to sight in at 100 yards and move out to 200 to see if I could squeeze 200 out of that range, I had to "move" a tree or two but I made it fit..[ATTACH=CONFIG]5100[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]5101[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]5102[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]5103[/ATTACH]
The first group at the top is my first group on paper 1/4" at 100 yards. Second group is after making my adjustments to the scope. Slightly larger but still can be covered with a dime. Then I moved out to 200 and got the third group I was actually aiming for a 1"dot pasty that I thought should be my POA turned out to be right. Never used a tactical scope before, they make this too easy.
Needless to say. I am very happy. A big thank you to all who offered advise and also to Mr Lilja for building such a nice barrel. The extra work I put into it from the advice on this site was well worth it.
