Grendel Bolt Action Build

Does anyone have any experience with the rifle listed below for a Grendel bolt conversion.

It's a straight forward conversion. What do you want to know?

1. Who can I get a cut rifled barrel for the conversion

2. What do I need to do the conversion

This is who did my conversion (I used that very rifle) and I couldn't be more happy, quality work and they used a Douglas 2 X barrel. They matched factory contour on mine but can do any custom size. This is the third conversion they have completed for me.

Basically just a barrel change and a little filing on the mag follower for proper feeding. I did the filing myself and it only took a few minutes.
I haven't had any problems at all with any of their work. I am not affiliated with them at all just a very satisfied customer.

(1) Pac Nor. My barrel says "Grendel" on it but the chamber is a few thousanths different (.264 LBC I think) . Still, since it feeds and shoots Grendel ammo just fine, any difference is probably only real to a guy named Plank. (2) to do the conversion all you gotta do is (a) call them (b) send your action /barreled action © give them your credit card number (d) wait for it to come in.

If you look for my thread on my Grendel Build you will find that I also used the m85 action.

It is a fairly simple conversion, old barrel out, new barrel in. The only complicating factor is re-profiling the magazine follower for the larger dia. shoulder on the Grendel.

Stocks are fairly available, I love the High-Tech Specialties stocks on mine and will be using one again when I build a 20-222.

What stocks and magazines work with the M85 Action.

Any stock that fits the Mini Mk X should fit. Or the remington 799. If you like to finish your own stock, Boyds generaly has on in stock. Stocky Stocks generally has a B&C synthetic one as does Midway. Or try Bobs gunshop. The magazines are like a 98 mauser or a 700 bdl.
