We are going to manufacture some 6.5 bolts coated in Nickle Boron. Nickle Boron is a thick coating. Minimum is three tenths. I have on very well known NiB supplier that wants to put a seven tenths coating on the bolt. So, we have to change our bolt dimensions we make to account for the extra thick coating.

I would love to have someone look into the Ion Bond DiamondBLACK coating as an option for the bolts and BCG's…. It's a great coating on my Boberg XR9-S. Actually penetrates several thousandths into the metal without adding much to the overall dimensions.

Do you mean 7 Tenths of an inch (0.7), or 7 ten thousandths of an inch (0.0007)?

Here is the application thickenss from one manufacture who specializes in Firearms. Different thicknesses are needed in different surface areas. Roll pin and spring seats need minimal coating or they will fill in or not function correctly. A company that has done carrier finishes knows what needs coated with how much or not. Extra thickness is not always best. It's not that all parts get the same coating thickness.

Those are really nice in Super Match, I guess thats the Nib? I noticed on mine too that the edges look a little rounded or smoothed out. Really nice product. And we know all the measurments are in accordance with the required tolerances.
No guessing or trial and error with a reputable long term bolt manufacture providing the parts. And the Grendel God finishing them and putting the the final touch together.

+1, I got my two NiB bolts moments ago. They are a thing of beauty!
No bolt in my hands yet, sent PF an email on Feb. 8th wondering what the status of my order was, they replied on the 11th that my order would be shipping in 7 - 10 days. The 10 days have come and gone, still haven't been notified of my Order shipping, nor has any change of status has been noted to " My Order". On their website. Hope they get here soon.
Mine showed up today. Thanks PF! Got the Phalanx BCG with Maxim Bolt, another Maxim bolt, and a sick little muzzle device for my new Lilja 16".

NOTICE TO THOSE WHO ORDERED SUPER MATCH GRENDEL BOLTS:
We are running out of the first batch of Super Match Extractors for the Grendel Super Match Bolts. Our next batch will be in about 2 weeks. We have plenty of Phalanx (Black Nitride) extractors. For those who ordered Super Match bolts and wanting their bolts faster and don't care about getting the Extractors in Nickel Boron, then please email me at
pf15@pf15.com and let us know and we will get them out. Again these are Super Match bolts with Phalanx extractors. I don't see any performance issues at all mixing these.
