Guys,
Ever wondered if some of the customer review on Brownells were bogus, well have a look at these two for Double Star's ARFX stock;
There's 'Paladin' from St Louis, MO;

Installation is extremely simple, and only took a couple of minutes. Provided you follow the advice to oil the foam collar before installing. Everything fit perfectly. Once installed, it is not only attractive, but it's rock solid. And I really like the thick, soft rubber butt pad.
Outstanding product and well worth the money.

Hmmm, maybe they are identical twins living in two different parts of the country, communing off each others brain waves.
ixthus gives the product a full 5 stars, but Paladin is a bit more critical with only 4 stars but still a positive review.

Bogus reviews probably populate at least 10% of all reviews on the internet.
Take that with a grain of salt, 93% of statistics are made up anyways.

I wrote brownells and asked them to check it out. Hopefully at least one of them gets taken down.

75% of the time I see that statistic at 95%.

I can't speak for the reviews but I can speak for the Ace arfx. I have been more than pleased with it, I am currently putting together another lower with a PRS but if it doesn't suit another Ace will be its replacement!

Well statistically speaking 95% is the generally accepted T value for accepting a hypothesis

Statistics can only be accurate if the data being studied is of an appropriate nature, I order to be statistically significant the test must have a large number of subjects and be random and repeatable in a quantifiable and controlled manner, fundamentally the opinions of liars do not meet these qualifications
But statistics and data are often skewed or altered in order to achieve the desired outcome

No argument there...e.g. Rosenthal's rats. Bias pervades all findings, regardless of method.

Back the topic even though this was great reading.
Its not just Brownells altering reviews.
I posted a very negative review on Midway for the Promag Lower Receiver Vice Block. The notch did not line up with the mag release so I had to modify it. Not a big deal, $15 part but the issue is Midway pulled my negative response completely. Not sure if it was because I said the Chinese one from a Gun Show for $10 worked perfectly, but either way, I tried to post negatively later without the Chinese part or Gun Show cost and they still blocked me.
I will not review anything for them any more, positive or negative. They pick the good and block the bad.
Yes I could have returned it but I needed it, so I modified it because I didn't have time to wait for a replacement and all the shipping back and forth.

Classic. I guess they don't make money when people say bad things about their products. Probably don't want to upset their suppliers either.
All reviews positive, everything's sweet, keep that money rolling in.
