Not sure of your definition of plenty, but there's less than 200 boxes currently available. Might be interesting to see how long it lasts considering the seemingly obscure availability of weapons to fire it.

In 2014 Remington is going to sell uppers for the 30 Remington AR I've recently learned.

My point was that an entrepreneur like woohoo would probably like a better idea of future availability of ammo and brass before bringing a new related item to market. I'm not sure that a one-time snapshot of a relatively small inventory at one retailer provides that level of comfort. If Rem does indeed start offering uppers (as DPMS has done previously), it might also be indicative of better future availability of components. But I'm not sure how many wise businessmen would rely heavily on Rem making smart predictable moves.

This 30 Rem AR tangent might best be discussed in a dedicated thread, if for no other reason, so people can find it easier later.

I would love to hear a discussion of why the 30 Rem AR would be a good choice for some over several flavors of other kit.

They placed a instructional video on there site a couple days ago talking about 30AR uppers.

Right, Remington has a long history of announcing a new product and waiting to see if anyone wants one before making them. If they do release but, they don't think they are making enough money they let it fade away. I have no faith in Remington.

We will see but the 5.56 market is dropping out so the time is right for manufactures to push alternate calibers like the Grendel and the 30 Remington AR. Richard Mann has an article in the AR Rifleman buyers guide for 2014 as well. He has connections and Remington. I'm thinking this article is more from a Remington perspective and i see it as a signal of push for the 30 Remington AR in 2014. Its a smart business move on there part.
