Bolt Group Buy - Possible?

Tango29 why not tell Saturn to get bolts from les Baer now? I'm in on the liberty barrel group buy...they need to get some bolts. Is Steve satern a member on here? What's the deal with bolt availability? The biting frenzy post gun ban push is over.

I have had a satern barrel on order for over ayear. They have told me numerous times that they don't have any bolts to ship with the barrels. So I took matters into my own hands and called les Baer customs ordered a bolt for 85.00 and sent it to satern. This all took place within the past week. When I asked the lady at les baer how many bolts were available for 264 lbc she said how many do you want and how much money do you have. This leads me to believe that les Baer is the go to company. My bolt arrived in 2 days with priority shipping. I will email satern again in amonth and see what kind of progress is being made. They are all out of excuses now!

I've have had no problem getting LBC bolts also. So I called Satern and was told If they have a barrel similar to what I want, they would call me after they fill the oldest orders first. I've had a barrel on order for almost a year now. She also said the most popular AR barrel they make is 6.5 Grendel by far. I'm glad I have something to shoot, I think it's still going to be a long wait.

Mark was gracious enough to get me an unfinished bolt to send to Lilja for our barrel group buy as soon as was possible.

I compared it to the bolt in my PF Grendel. They both had a 0.135" bolt face depth and a lug length of 0.278".

I'll get it shipped to Lilja first thing Monday.

Cory, did Mark give you any idea of when he'll begin shipping the bolts that are currently on order with PF? How many rounds did it take to get that much "brass flow" on that bolt face? It looks pretty severe.

They're got to have the black nitrate or NiB applied then they should be ready to go out.

"Brass flow" what is that? I've got less than 500 rounds on it.

I am finally getting my satern barrel. Within one day of receiving my bolt that I shipped to them I got an email review of my barrel specs and I am go for payment and shipping on Monday. Its been a long time.

Cory, "Brass Flow" is me feeble way of describing the brass that is left on the bolt face as it seems to "Flow" from the case head with the warmer loads. Your rifle rocks, 500 rounds without cleaning the bolt face and it's still running, outstanding!

I emailed Miranda a Saturn and told her to contact Frank at Maxim for the bolts.
Never heard anything back. emailed twice after that and have not heard a peep.

They already did and now have bolts on order from Frank. I passed them Franks info and talked Deb about Frank months ago.

Yeah, my company is moving too. Started back in January and won't end until August next year. So I know how much of a headache it is. Just wanting to make sure the items get added to my order so I don't have to pay extra shipping for some gas tubes...

I had a change to an order that I placed and sent a couple of emails (not knowing if they had received them or not). It took a while but I did hear back that they received my email and had made the changes to my order.

Question on Nickle Boron Bolt. Does a bolt coated with nickle boron have different dimensions. does the coating ad to the thickness so that it wont fit in a BCG or is the dimension taken into account
when the bolt is manufactured for Nib coating. sSame question for the BCG as well.
