Humorous and very much on the money. You mean this guy doesn't see the TSA as a threat to his existence? The author is assuming that the will use the ammo to actually train and not to blast into a berm to get rid of it at the end of a FY. He is giving them more credit than is due I think.

From inside industry sources with some of the biggest ammunition manufacturers in the world, I am hearing that the LE market pales in comparison to the civilian market demand and consumption. LE Agencies are having a very difficult time sourcing ammo, to the point that certain calibers are already back-ordered out to 2 years.

Another reason why I am digging my Grendel when everyone is paying crazy stupid money for 5.56 and .223, as well as .308 Win. Hornady 123gr A-MAX is cheaper now than .223 and .308 FGMM.

Hmmm, some data from Federal says-times are a turning away finally from the old std. issue calibers. .308-.270 etc. + old school= turn the page guys-gals,-move forward on the 6.5mm.
FINALLY ! The judge is in the hood-thinner bullet diam. is better, for most longer range shots, try something new-different. You will be impressed if your aim is true. I truly love the caliber, as a Many of us do too!

L-52 nailed it on the lack of certain ammo-bullets per diam. It's a no brainer.

I think Gary was just pointing out how big the private use of ammo is compared to the Government. The gun owners in this country have always been a force to be reckoned with and people who desire power over others have always understood this if the gun owners themselves haven't , I'm quoting him here,


his is not to say that hoards of federal police, increasingly unburdened by their Fourth Amendment responsibilities, using our money to buy lots of guns and ammo is not worrisome. It is. But until the senators from California and New York have their way with gun control, they have a long way to go to catch up with the rest of us.
