AA Upper Lead Times

Ordered my 16 inch upper on FEB 18th and it got here on Friday JUL 5th. Ammo and magazines included in the ordered are still on backorder.

You got yours quick. I read somewhere that the 16" barrels were the easiest to get. I though about changing my order, but AA said I would go to the end of the line, if I changed my order to the 16"

Called AA today. My gun is NOT in production like they told me. Guess this is what happens when you talk to two different people. They told me another 1-2 months but I'm going to say that is a lie also. Horrible customer service. Not very happy about this.

I was actually shocked when they called to tell me it was shipping. Still have a lower on order from them at the same time.

Has anybody received any uppers with a Shilen upgrade lately? May we ask what your order number was? Mine is 101962 ordered in Mid April 2013.

Grendel Barrel and Bolt at Loather Walther, 6 week time frame a few weeks ago.. I'm hoping for him to be accurate on the delivery time but who knows, Sent him the $$ 2 weeks ago so now just waiting too...

I hope you get lucky, I've been waiting 6 months for my CSS barrel. He did email back yesterday that it should go out no later than this Monday.

I ordered a upper, ammo, mags and a hoodie in November or December. I cancelled the order in February. Yesterday a lone hoodie showed up. I guess all of my order did not get cancelled. Hummm..... What will show next?

I received an AA email this morning. I submitted my order on 18 April 2013. It included an AWS Upper with a Shilen upgrade, with mags and brass. This is what the email said:

John,
There is a 6-8 month lead time on uppers & complete rifles. At the
earliest mid October on the upper and the high capacity magazines are still
severely backordered after the hyperactivity during the speculation that
they would be banned so at least a couple more months on that item. The
brass can be partial shipped in as little as a week if you want partial
shipment of the brass.

Just got a call from Stephanie that my AWS 20" Shilen upper will ship out today. I place the order early Dec 2012
...so almost nine months.

Thank god, that pile of grendel ammo Ive been collecting has been staring at me all summer.

Man! That is great news! What patience to hang in there. I ordered one just like it in mid April but jumped ship after 4months to get an upper from Precision arms. I have another 5 weeks to wait instead of 5 months. Hope it works out for both of us. Enjoy your upper, I am sure you will. I also have ammo; factory and reloads that I have ready and waiting.
