Indeed. After hearing such people incessantly cry "The sky is falling!" for decades, I stopped listening years ago. 
CNN quit broadcasting NEWS a long time ago. They broadcast mostly politically correct viewpoints, nothing more. There isn't a true news service left, period.
No one pays for actual journalism, they pay for entertainment. When journalism decided that it had to be entertaining, it became nothing more than drivel. Jon Stewart has more credibilty than CNN. When a comedian spoofing a news show carries a larger audience than a news show, you can be sure that no one cares about actual news.

I hear so much negative about supporting the Repubs so hard. Not one voted for obamacare, UN small arms treaty and if not for them we would have a nice new set of gun restrictions to work around. Not saying they are the best we can do, but the Repubs are at the least going down swinging. Remember we are a two party nation and there is no help for the demos. Make CHANGE with what we have got to work with.

Your statement is true enough yet they have strayed from the path of Conservatism. I still vote Republican but thats because I simply cannot vote for a Gun grabbing Socialist political party. Given a real clear choice of Conservative 3rd Party or Republican or Dem and I will bolt the GOP.

My thinking on voting is that for primaries, I vote for who I think is the 'best' candidate. For the general, I vote for the candidate who is the least bad, and who has a chance of winning. Sometimes, I have to hold my nose or shield my eyes...

Gruff, thanks so much for posting this. I used to follow Beck regularly but had gotten too busy lately. This will go out to all my contacts and hopefully more people will see that "the sky IS falling" if only they would get their heads out of their ass.

If you're referring to the implied accusations from Beck that some US officials are trying to cover up Saudi involvement in the bombing, I can only say it's possible, but I'm skeptical.

I'm unsure what you mean by where I am coming from. I have attempted to be clear in all of my posts, but anyway I'll try to answer.
The Boston bombers, and the Saudi, I addressed in post #216. I don't know of anything about either topic that I'd consider not "kosher."
Gun control? That's a genuine issue. If you're asking for my position, I think that the 2nd Amendment protects the ability to own military-type weapons, but not sporting firearms. Therefore, I consider many gun laws to be in violation of that so-called right.
The "sorry" State of the Union? In the last 50 years, there have been many changes that I personally have found objectionable. Obviously, the people who implemented those changes considered them desirable. There is a phrase, "You can't please everybody."
As for politicians, IMO there is something wrong with anybody who desires power over other people. I dislike politicians of any stripe; at absolute best they are a necessary evil, to be tolerated if only because it isn't legal to kill them. :eek:

Does this help? OK I guess we're not that far apart on most of the issues. I guess its as simple as I say tomatoe and you say tomato. I guess where we see things differently is I believe Fox News and Beck over the Lamestream Media any day of the week.
